I want to request one feature. GYRO DATA Stabilization for S5iix.

Hi, is there a way to see the real exposure? I can only see it once i take the photo ;(

Can somebody please help me? When I put my godox flashed on my lumix S2 Mark 2 It reads The flash button does not flash when I press the shutter button. I've been having this camera for about 1 year. So I don't think he's a loose screw on the hot shoe on the camera .. What settings do I need to change if I want to use my flash which is compatible to my camera?

AFAIK, on the G9II, pressing and holding the "AF ON" back focus button (when AF Lock is OFF) should work exactly as half-pressing the shutter button (when Shutter AF is ON). But there seem to be some exceptions, for example: in object tracking focus mode, half-pressing the shutter button causes the focus to lock on the subject and track its movement around the frame, but pressing and holding the AF ON DOES cause the focus to lock on the subject but DOES NOT track the subject around the frame. Is this expected behavior? Also, unlike the behavior mentioned at 1:00:58, I have found that moving the focus point by touch while in tracking mode DOES focus at that point but DOES NOT track the subject around the frame; only continuously half-pressing the shutter will cause tracking to occur.

bummed that the s5ii doesn't offer multi-exposure. That feature was a real time and labor saver on the S5 for real estate photography with strobes....

We only got 99.9% of totality but still looked so good on video

I am using the S5m2X with the 24-105 lens FHD1080 50fps I am videoing motorcycle trials I have set the custom auto focus speed -1 AF sensitivity -2 which in general works quite well when the bikes go behind trees etc and it keep focus when zooming in and out. The problem I have is the time to grab focus for the next rider entering the section 9 out of 10. times its fine then for no reason it just fails. It's a bit like the issue that the GH5 had !!

As straight photography cameras go they're on par with any other brand sporting a Sony sensor. One thing to note for the Fuji people watching, once Lumix pull out a new camera, forget about getting new features via firmware updates for your current machine. They can't be bothered.

Sort of disrespectful for it to not be added to the GH6, and even more so if the game plan is to say it’s going to be added to the GH7, whenever/if it ever came out.

I really wish I could find how to make the G9M2 fire a focus bracket QUICKLY with my V350(O) flash, much like the Olympus bodies do... As it stands my flash only fires once every 1-1.5 seconds. By then, the bug has moved on!

Watched the sun when blocked by approx 90% ( the most blockage available in my location) in the Philadelphia, PA area today. Used my welder's helmet I use for MIG welding. Worked like a charm!

Please include more and more photo centric features in Lumix S series. There is complete dearth of knownledge on Lumix and flash photography. I started regretting investing into Lumix S5iix because I am unable to find good flash products for Lumix. The fact that you are not partnering with companies like Godox to produce triggers and flashes that support Lumix products indicate that you are not serious about photography features in Lumix products. But you position your products as hybrid cameras.

Hj Sean (is that right?), you said pinpoint only available for SAF and a single PDAF pixel, I read somewhere else PDAF only is available for CAF which could well be incorrect. I'm sure it's in the manual to find out though. Thanks

For some reaseon i been having issues with self timer and autofocus, it’s basically unusable, it’s doesn’t focus on the subject while counting down, it only focuses right after taking the picture!! I haven’t tried all the settings, I’m using s5ii. Any help would be appreciated!

Regarding back button focus, the Lumix S5 (probably same on S5 II) will BBF whether the camera is set to MF or the lens is set to MF. This is useful if you are zone focusing manually in street photography, for example, but want to instantly change focus point with the back button AF. As soon as the focus ring is turned, the camera resumes manual focusing as before. Great feature.

Lumix really needs to work on their marketing strategy especially in the UK! Compare a Sony, Nikon and Canon release to Lumix and the latter is covered in about half as many places and forgotten about twice as quickly. Panasonic has always been a highly regarded brand in the UK but sometimes you actually need to market your products.

Is it me in thinking that all the autofocus area options are all the same, just covering a larger or smaller area? For example what is the difference between selecting a spot focus and making that area larger, to the zone focus option that just defaults to a larger area? What really is the difference to the "spot focus plus" with a bit more on the outside as a buffer, to just having a larger focus area in the first place?

For SH-Pre with Back Button Focus. BBF will activate AF, but will not start the ‘Pre’ recording. You need to half press the shutter to get ‘Pre’ recoding going.
